The Presence of Being

This collection of original paintings is inspired by shared human experience, focusing on the raw stages of reflection, processing and overcoming we all journey through in life. 

These are often the moments where we feel like it's ‘us against the world’, and Lucid Curiosity aims to create an environment where the viewer can take solace in the fact someone else, somewhere else, will be feeling exactly how they are when feeling most overwhelmed and alone with their emotions. 

These moments are presented back to the viewer in a whimsical way, where Lucid Curiosity has incorporated her passion for all things galactic, 80s, and of course animals who are the protagonist subject matter, representing us, the humans, experiencing these moments. 

The hope is these paintings will provide a safe space for the viewer to be present in being, whilst providing courage and strength in knowing these moments in life are temporary. 

There is a comforting feeling in reminding ourselves that the experience of being a human may on one hand be, and feel, so overwhelmingly unique to us in the moment, but we ALL SHARE the same emotions. We ALL FEEL the same emotions. And we ARE NEVER alone. 

Remember to just be. Be present with your emotions; the positive, the negative and the neutral.
